Create a Christmas memory with photos with Cowboy Kringle, Gruene's own brand of Santa! Pictures will be taken in the breezeway between The Grapevine and Gruene General Store. Packages are available, along with photo ornaments, Christmas cards and other special order items.. Photos taken on November 21 & 22 will benefit Kids Club at Oakwood Baptist Church. 5K Run/Walk & 1/4 Mile Kids' Turkey Chase
November 26th at 8:00 am
Registration begins at 6:30 am
Fun for the whole family! Start your Thanksgiving Day with an exhilarating 5K run/walk through Gruene Historic District. Kids under 12 years old will have a blast chasing a Turkey Mascot for a 1/4 mile through Gruene. Races begin and end in front of Gruene Hall. Benefiting local charities, including the Comal County Sheriff's Green Santa Program and the New Braunfels Police Department Blue Santa Program. Bring the kids out to Gruene the first three weekends in December to make and wrap one-of-a-kind handcrafted Christmas presents to give to family members. Parents will be able to safely leave their children (5 and older) at the gift center while they shop, eat, or enjoy the sights of this beautiful historic district. Face painting will also be available. For more information, please call (830)620-4247.
Kids Workshop Guidelines:
1. Handmade gifts range from $10.00 to $15.00 per item, and includes gift wrapping. Please pay when you enter the workshop.
2. Children age 5 and older may be left in our care for up to two hours for an additional $10.00 per hour. This fee applies with or without the purchase of a gift.
3. Please leave us your cell phone number in case we need to notify you when your child is ready to be picked up or in case of emergency.
4. Last, parents leaving their children with us must fill out the parental consent form before leaving. |

It's Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol with an amazing twist — one actor plays all the roles in this powerful tale of hope & compassion! Award-winning stage actor Damian Gillen transforms before your eyes into all those beloved characters...from Scrooge to tiny Tim, in this magical and imaginative re-telling of the holiday classic! Complete with numerous costume changes, special effects and traditional Celtic Christmas tunes! Great fun for the whole family!
GRUENE TOWN LIGHTING
December 5 at 5:00 pm
Gruene closes out the many festivities of the day with a brass band street perofrmance at 5 pm, followed by the annual town lighting at 6 pm when Cowboy Kringle rides into town on horseback and hands out candy canes to the kids. Free admission. Afterwards, shop over 30 stores, cozy up to a fireplace for dinner at the Gristmill, head over to Mozie's for a cold one, the Hall for the Kelly Willis & Bruce Robison Holiday Show, or bring the kids by Cowboy Kringle's Kids' Workshop.
